The world is ending, relax.

Our current quality of life has lead to a planet that is not sustainable, we can talk about the reasons why as much as we want but we can simplify it, it's because our (first worlders) quality of life itself is not one that is sustainable with the current population, population declines if they occur will likely be slow, this leaves one option only, a lower quality of life for us. Any approach to fix climate change will have to lower our quality of life, this is a truth everyone aside from climate change deniers need to accept, you cannot keep your current quality of life, it has to get worse, in the future it might get better but for now you need to accept the fact it has to get worse, this is not something you can change or control.

Acceptance of reality is important, Our quality of life is not sustainable so we can either

  1. Lower the quality of life of other groups to make ours sustainable
  2. Lower our quality of life
  3. Deny climate change
  4. Ignore climate change

Dreams are likely a form of memory consolidation, it takes events from the day and organises them, however not all events are made equal some factors that matter are – Navigational data – Highly emotional events – Events that involve high risk – Social events – Preparation for events – Connecting new events to old ones When you consider these things it shouldn't be “why aren't phones in my dreams” it should be why would they be? “well I socialise on my phone” one issue I cannot overemphasise is your brain can tell the difference between socialising digitally vs in person, To you brain socialising on your phone is not socialising. Considering why dreams exist there isn't really a reason for phones to be in there and not only that but you probably wouldn't remember anyway you dream every single night without fail, usually 2-3 dreams per night, how many of your dreams do you even remember? There is no solid argument given as to why your phone would be in dreams beyond people not understanding what dreams (probably) are and why they (probably) exist.

For accelerationism to properly spread it as an organism needs to expand beyond it's starting conditions, the typical lifecycle is a person is exposed to acc on a microcosm of a social media site then proceeds to exist as an accelerationist only in that space and usually get trapped by their own narrow engagement to only exist in that microcosm, limiting potential growth, this can be seen nowhere better than when looking at e/acc a movement that's supposedly lead by 10xers in the valley and that on twitter do have significant respect and influence from/with the right people but outside of twitter they're borderline unknown and have no status because they almost exclusively exist/engage on twitter with people already involved in acc, this is not simply a waste but also a death sentence.

The level of influence should be much greater than it is but it's nothing beyond a circlejerk that seeks to make everyone repeating the same word salad or talking points feel smart whilst surrounded by sycophants.

organism a living thing that has (or can develop) the ability to act or function independently

A thing does not just exist as a thing itself but extends as an organism, a community exists as an organism, as does a culture, as does an individual, as does a group.

Each functions in a symbiotic relationship but with intention this symbiosis can be transformed into something more, something greater than the sum of it's parts, this can only be done through the expanding the freedom of the organism itself. An aggressive modification of the organisms functions is needed, After defining what freedom means for the organism then the modifications to the functions should be thought out.

If we use a specific example
– Pasan Hiker – Comes from a rich family – Very wealthy – Made this wealth from donations from the working class – Lives in a very expensive house – Wants a revolution to overcome capitalism – Gains lots of enjoyment from excess & material goods

Aside from the issue that a person criticising capitalism quickly gets devoured then integrated into the capitalist system thereby strengthening it, Pasan as an individual does not have the freedom to overcome capitalism, if capitalism is overcome pasan is miserable and pasan knows this because he's talked about his “addiction” to consumerism and material goods that would not exist outside of capitalism. So no matter how many people become pasan (the spreading of organisms) capitalism remains as it always has been. This means pasan spreading does nothing. Now a distinction should be kept, Pasan as an individual and Pasan as an organism, pasan refers to a person, Pasan as an organism refers to not just pasan but the others that interact through him. Think of a graph with a ton of nodes but each node will at least connect to pasan, this is what pasan as an organism looks like, the more nodes in the organism start communicating independently of pasan as an individual the less control over the organism pasan has (think of subreddit that end up being hate subreddits for the person, if communication between fans didn't happen this change could never occur).

So when you exist early on as an organism your goal is self replication but only in a way that leads to increased freedom of individuals but this freedom is context dependant, if you think drugs are good then increasing freedom comes from removing roadblocks stopping consumption of drugs, if you think drugs are bad this freedom actually comes from the restriction of freedom, removing the motives for doing drugs and making individuals restrict their freedom so that they can gain freedom from the thing instead of freedom that allows the thing.

Once the organism framework is applied then the individuals only goal is replication until the organism becomes self sustaining then it should be about maximising the freedom of the organism to function and actualise it's will. This should be done as quickly as possible so that the organism becomes decentralised with a will of it's own instead of conforming to the will of any individual person.

When you see accelerationism clearly you don't just end up with a political belief, you end up with an observation that the natural state of things seems to be that things move towards the extreme.

However, beyond its philosophical implications, accelerationism can also be seen as a broader observation about the trajectory of our society. It suggests that various aspects of our world are constantly pushing towards extremes and that this trend is becoming more pronounced with time.

This observation can be seen in various domains. In politics, for example, there seems to be an increasing polarization between different ideologies. Centrist positions are often overshadowed by more extreme right-wing or left-wing views. This shift towards the extreme can also be observed in social issues, where conversations around topics such as identity politics or climate change have become increasingly polarized.

In economics, we see a similar pattern. The gap between the rich and poor continues to widen as wealth becomes concentrated in the hands of a few individuals or corporations. The rise of tech giants like Amazon or Google exemplifies how certain companies can achieve unprecedented levels of dominance and control.

Technological advancements also contribute to this trend. The rapid development of artificial intelligence and automation threatens to disrupt traditional job markets and societal structures. This acceleration towards extreme automation could either lead to unprecedented prosperity or exacerbate existing inequalities. Moreover, our digital age has facilitated the spread of extreme ideologies through social media platforms. The echo chambers created by algorithms often reinforce existing beliefs and push individuals towards more radical positions.

Overall, accelerationism implies that our society is inherently inclined to move towards extremes due to various interconnected factors such as politics, economics, technology, and communication. While some may argue that this trajectory is concerning and calls for caution, others see it as an opportunity for transformation and the potential emergence of new paradigms.

[!ai]+ AI Accelerationism is a political and philosophical concept that advocates for the acceleration of societal, technological, and economic processes in order to bring about radical change. It suggests that by pushing these processes to their limits, the contradictions and flaws within the current system will become more apparent, leading to its eventual collapse or transformation.

  1. ==Left Accelerationism== (l/acc): This form emphasizes using capitalist advancements in productivity to reduce the need for human labor. It argues for harnessing technology and automation to create a post-work society where individuals are freed from menial labor and can pursue their creative and intellectual endeavors. Left accelerationists believe that by pushing capitalism's tendencies towards automation and efficiency to their extremes, it can lay the groundwork for a more equitable society.
  2. ==Effective Accelerationism== (e/acc): This form is often associated with tech billionaires and is primarily found on social media platforms like Twitter. Effective accelerationists focus on accelerating technological progress without necessarily being tied to a specific political agenda or goal. They believe that rapid technological advancements can lead to solutions for various societal problems, such as ecological crises or resource scarcity. Effective accelerationists aim to use technology as a means of transcending existing limitations and overcoming obstacles.
  3. ==Knowledge Accelerationism== (k/acc): This form emphasizes the acceleration of knowledge production and dissemination. It argues that by pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and understanding, society can overcome its limitations and achieve progress on a global scale. Knowledge accelerationists believe that the rapid advancement of scientific research, technological innovation, and intellectual exploration can lead to new insights and solutions to complex societal problems. They advocate for the unrestricted pursuit of knowledge in various fields, including philosophy, science, art, and technology.
  4. ==Creative Accelerationism== (c/acc): also known as creative accelerationism, is a variant of accelerationism that focuses on the potential for creativity and innovation in accelerating societal processes. It emphasizes the idea that by embracing and intensifying technological advancements, social systems can be rapidly transformed towards a more desirable future. C/acc proponents argue that by harnessing the power of technology and capitalism, new forms of organization and creative expression can emerge to address pressing issues such as climate change, inequality, and social alienation. This perspective encourages experimentation, collaboration, and radical thinking to push the boundaries of what is possible in order to create positive societal change.
  5. ==Zero Accelerationism== (z/acc): Z/acc (zero accelerationism) is a concept within accelerationist theory that advocates for the rejection of technological progress and unlimited growth. It argues against the belief that accelerating technological development will inevitably lead to social and political liberation. Instead, z/acc emphasizes a return to sustainable practices, localism, and a focus on ethical considerations in order to address the negative consequences of rapid acceleration. Z/acc proponents argue that embracing technology without critical evaluation can exacerbate inequalities and ecological destruction, advocating for a more cautious approach to technological advancement.
  6. ==Gender Accelerationism== (g/acc): g/acc, or gender accelerationism, is a term that originated within the broader accelerationist movement. It refers to a theoretical approach that seeks to accelerate the process of dismantling and reconfiguring gender norms and structures in society. Gender accelerationism recognizes that traditional gender roles and identities have been constructed and enforced by various social, cultural, and economic forces. Proponents of g/acc argue that rather than seeking gradual reforms or reforms within the existing system, a more radical approach is needed to rapidly destabilize and transform these oppressive structures. This line of thought suggests that by accelerating the process of deconstructing gender norms, it becomes possible to create new possibilities for gender expression, identity, and equality. It may involve challenging binary notions of gender, questioning the distinction between biological sex and gender identity, or exploring alternative forms of non-hierarchical relationships.
  7. ==Unconditional Accelerationism== (u/acc): u/acc (unconditional accelerationism) is a term that refers to a specific variant of accelerationism, a philosophical and political theory that aims to accelerate the processes of capitalism, technology, and globalization in order to bring about radical social change. Unlike other forms of accelerationism, such as left accelerationism or right accelerationism, which often have specific political orientations or goals, u/acc is characterized by its lack of conditions or limitations on the accelerationist project.

Self development can be incredibly meticulous and inorganic if you allow it to be, reducing the self into a piece of software that interfaces with hardware leads to a clearer and less socially influenced view, a much more goal oriented version of self development takes place. From this view the process itself becomes a secondary function of the development, no longer is the process the thing itself but the process is reduced to an appendage. Once self development is viewed through the lens of software development only then does the individual human become free to actually develop.

By treating the self as a piece of software, one can approach personal growth with a clearer and less socially influenced perspective. In this view, the process of self development becomes secondary to the goal-oriented nature of the development itself.

Instead of getting caught up in the intricacies and complexities of the process. Instead of becoming overwhelmed by external pressures or societal expectations, leading to a less authentic and organic growth experience. When we apply the principles of software development to personal growth, we can create a more structured and inorganic approach.

Ultimately, adopting a self versioning mindset allows individuals to break free from societal influences or external expectations that may hinder personal growth. It is agnostic towards the process and restrictions of that process commonly applied in organic self development, it allows the boundaries to not only be discovered but pushed through if the individual so chooses.

Through this view the individual becomes a node in a network of equal sized nodes the requirement for others is reduced so the other nodes restriction on the individual also becomes severed. The network itself cannot have expectations for software before it reaches initial release the organic form of becoming replaced with an inorganic form of not being to being then improvement, not a process of becoming to become something else (or biasely phrased something more). All that's left is autonomy.

Introduction

Self development, also known as personal development or self-improvement, refers to the process of enhancing one's skills, knowledge, abilities, and overall well-being. It involves conscious efforts to improve oneself in various aspects of life, such as physical health, mental well-being, emotional intelligence, relationships, career growth, and personal goals.

Self development is a vital part of life and of becoming one that we should all strive for, this includes constant stages of evolution similar to semantic versioning but it's also important to see how this process has been warped on a societal level, in seeing this you can correct it on a personal level.

The natural process of self development

The natural process for self development is intuitive, you strive for something and (hopefully) achiveve it, how this striving is done however was always up to the individual, if you wanted to get in shape and you trying to meet that end was doing 100 pushups a day (though futile) this was seen as your process of development, however now the standard process is to look online and follow what someone else does, effectively undermining your self development and making it instead you just adopting someone elses development without the process.

The subversion by capitalism

It is no longer enough to develop as you see fit, in a way you see fit, privately. You now have to develop in the way others define to achieve only forms of development that have the possibility of leading to increased capital.

The goals you have have to be done in a way decided by someone else and the only acceptable goals are ones that will make you money, development cannot be done for developments sake and the process of development cannot be your own (you can modify the process slightly but theres socially acceptable boundaries).

Not only that but this process has to be done publicly, it is no longer a private or personal pursuit, it's a public one that's somehow still seen as private and personal – this is the only part I've seen addressed online, acknowledging that the pressure to develop publicly is harmful and pointless however they address this problem ironically by “going monkmode” which they then talk about publicly defeating the purpose, and each goal setout by this monkmode is already defined and laid out with the goals decided for you, The entire thing self defeating.

The acceleration of development

On the flip side, capitalism has also contributed to the acceleration of self development in some ways. The pursuit of success in a competitive market can motivate individuals to continuously learn new skills and adapt to changing demands. Technology advancements driven by capitalist systems have made information more accessible than ever before, allowing people to engage in self development through online courses, podcasts, and other digital resources.
